| MTA / New York City Transit is planning to extend the No. 7 Line Subway services to the area known as Far West Midtown Manhattan. This strategically located area will allow for the expansion of the Midtown Manhattan Central Business District, which will in turn, sustain the city’ s economic growth and global competitiveness over the next 20 to 25 years. RAS obtained low-altitude mapping photography (LAMP) at 1”=100’ scale to produce topographic basemapping at 1”=20’ scale with one-foot contour intervals in Micro Station format. Highly accurate photogrametric base mapping was produced for the entire 3-mile project. A digital terrain model (DTM) was developed from the aerial mapping data for utilization by the PBQ&D design team. |
